I really believe every family is completely different. This means, every family is filmed differently. I don't have a list of different poses for you to do during our session, it just won't work that way. Instead, I hang out with you and the family, we go for walks, and talk about your family. I get to know what will make your kids smile and get excited. This is why I call myself a documentary photographer, I'm documenting your time with your family and I'm getting to know you at the same time. This isn't just about the pictures I'm creating, it's about the entire experience we are having, making new friends or seeing old ones every year.
Every year Marissa contacts me to film her family, we've done a couple of different locations but for the most part, we stick to the Rouge Beach in the east end of Toronto. It's close to their home and for me I love heading to that area as it brings me back to my own childhood memories of hanging out at the beach with my mom, having some dinner, and feeding the ducks (I now know how wrong it is to feed the ducks). I'm always so thankful for our yearly connection with Marissa and family, my soul is always filled with so much joy and love from spending a few hours with them and I enjoy watching the kids grow into their own personalities.
