Let me introduce you to Bobbie and Jeff. I had too much fun photographing their Harvest Restaurant Wedding in Brooklin, Ontario last month. They found me through my website, and though I generally prefer to meet couples in person beforehand, I broke my rules this time and booked them without meeting them. Luckily I had nothing to worry about, because when we did finally meet a few weeks before their July 4th wedding we instantly clicked! Both Bobbie and Jeff work in mental health which says a lot about them both. It takes a special kind of person to work in that field - open hearted and understanding, being a good listener and anticipating the needs of others. All great qualities anyone would want in a partner, and lucky for them it’s reciprocal.
Since this was their second wedding and the joining of their families, they wanted the day to be more about family and close friends. Between the two of them they have four children, three sons and a daughter, and all four were a big part of this wedding with strong roles throughout the day. Spoiler alert, the candy ceremony near the end of the service is literally my favourite thing ever!
Can I have two favourites, because their music throughout the day was also my favourite thing ever! When we first met I asked them what kind of music they listen to (I ask all my couples this question), and Jeff answered right away, 80’s & 90’s hiphop!!! SOLD!!! I love 90s hiphop! Their introduction song after the ceremony was Dr. Dre "Next Episode", and their first dance song was Ed Sheeran "Thinking Outloud". I love a couple with a good sense of humour and great taste in music.
If you’re near Brooklin Ontario and thinking of a Harvest Restaurant wedding, I can tell you right now that the food was amazing and the owners are LOVELY!!!
